As my Salmon XA 3D Ultra 2 shoes crunch around on the several inches of well packed snow and ice on the road that ultimately leads to Long Creek Falls and I survey the area around me I realize something… I’m in a bit of a pickle. What Is The Body?

I love being a part of the Adventures in Missions culture. One of the many reasons is because of Monday morning staff worship. Every Monday the whole staff gets together and we worship for about an hour, just to start the week out on the right foot. These times are refreshing and amazing. Not only for the worship, but the community overall. I’m sort of a reserved worshipper, so I like to sit back sometimes and watch everyone in action. It’s so cool to see everyone worship in their own specific ways. I’ve gotten to the point where seeing people in their worship element gives me a lot of joy. Even helps me worship a bit. But it’s also in these times that I contemplate the theme of the “Body of Christ.” Often times you hear people use that term. I use it pretty regularly myself. A Crumpled Dixie Cup

I’ll begin with a confession. Not particularly big one, or one that’s all that shocking. But still a confession. I don’t rest well. I don’t power down easily. I tend to do things abruptly. I think in a “black and white” sort of way, so that’s the way I naturally live. As in, I’ll be going 100 miles per hour and suddenly I’ll crash. Basically “rest” comes for me once I’ve crashed. Like I said, not very explosive. But I guess in that sense, I’m a good American. We go as hard as we can until we can’t go anymore and that’s just life. There are no breaks, no stopping, time is money. Or time is whatever you find to be most important. Time is relationships. Time is business. Time is family. Time is fun.
